Tierney Milne
Tierney Milne is a Montreal-born, Vancouver-based artist and muralist who focuses on interrupting people’s day with positivity. With a background in Psychology (UBC) and a keen interest in how simple shapes and colours affect our wellbeing, Tierney combines intentional compositions, bold palettes and vibrant patterns to bring her work to life and inject a sense of child-like wonder to create joy for viewers. Select previous clients include Foot Locker, Lululemon, NBA Crossover, Facebook, Belgian Moon, UBC, and various mural festivals including Vancouver Mural Fest.
Family is an integral structure in Tierney’s life, both with her blood family and her studio family that she works around every day. The stability and confidence to explore that this sort of familial scaffolding creates in her life feels very similar to the role of compositional gridlines in her artwork. As with family, these connection points and supportive framework are foundational to moving forward and help clear the way for exploration and play.
